Terms of service
The short, human-readable version of how AviHop works. Replace this template with your counsel-reviewed terms before public launch.
What AviHop is
AviHop is a community platform that lets private pilots advertise non-commercial cost-shared flights and lets passengers discover them. AviHop is not an air carrier, tour operator, broker, or travel agent. Flights are private arrangements concluded directly between pilot and passengers.
No payments through the platform
AviHop processes no payments, holds no funds, and charges no commission. Cost contributions are agreed and settled directly between the participants of a flight.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for what you post. One person, one account. Accounts may be suspended for violating these terms, applicable law, or the safety of the community.
Pilot responsibilities
Pilots confirm that every listed flight is a lawful non-commercial cost-sharing flight in the jurisdictions it touches, that they hold the required licenses, ratings, medical certificates and insurance, and that they pay at least their proportional share of the direct costs. Pilots must keep listings accurate and cancel them when a flight will not happen.
Passenger responsibilities
Passengers acknowledge that cost-shared private flights do not meet commercial air-transport safety standards, that flights may be cancelled at any time (weather above all), and that they participate at their own risk. Passengers agree to provide accurate weight and baggage details when asked.
Content and conduct
Be honest and respectful. No commercial charter offers, no soliciting payment outside genuine cost sharing, no harassment, no attempts to move deals off-platform to avoid community protections. We may moderate or remove content and accounts that break these rules.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AviHop is not liable for anything arising out of the flights themselves, including accidents, injury, loss, delays, or disputes between users. Our role is limited to operating the platform.
Changes
We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
Template only — have your legal counsel adapt these terms to your operating entity and jurisdiction before launch.
