Safety
Flying with private pilots is an adventure — here is how our community keeps it a safe one.
The pilot decides
The pilot in command has the final word on everything: whether the flight happens, the route, the loading, and the weather call. A good passenger never pressures a pilot. If your flight is cancelled for weather, that is the system working, not failing.
Verification badge
Pilots can voluntarily submit their license to our team and earn a verified badge. The badge means we checked their documents on the shown date. It is not a guarantee of skill, currency, insurance, or of any particular flight being safe.
Reviews
After each flight, pilot and passenger review each other. Read reviews before booking, and leave honest ones after flying — they are the backbone of trust in this community.
Keep it on AviHop
Keep conversations and agreements inside AviHop messages. If anything ever goes wrong, our moderators can only help with what happened on the platform. Report suspicious listings, profiles, or messages with the report button.
Your data on board
Pilots of small aircraft need accurate passenger weights for loading calculations. This information is visible only to your pilot and is automatically deleted 30 days after the flight.
Emergency? Always follow the instructions of your pilot and local authorities first.
